The Temple of Bells

Wat Rakangkositaram Woramahavihan, or the “Temple of Bells” is just on the southern edge of Wang Lang Market, so we decided to make the quick jaunt over to check it out. Unlike many of the temples we visited, this one was filled with people worshiping. There were very few tourists.IMG_2971.JPGWe didn’t stay in the main hall for very long since we didn’t want to disturb the people praying.

One of the big draws for this place is the number of pigeons there. People will visit to feed the pigeons. We didn’t really care to do that, though there were many pigeons.

Some of the aforementioned bells:IMG_2974.JPGPeople would periodically ring these, apparently representing a prayer to become popular and have an ever-growing reputation just like the far-reaching sound of ringing bells.

There were also individual Buddha statues that people would make offerings to specifically:IMG_2976.JPG
